1. Who We Are

Specialist Hub operates the directory platform at this website. We are the "business" under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and "data controller" for information collected through the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

From contractors: business name, contact email, phone number, city, service type, region, license number, years of experience, and business description — submitted during signup or listing import.

From buyers: search queries and filter selections used in the directory (stored in aggregate, not linked to identifiable individuals unless you create an account).

From account holders: email address, name, and authentication data (hashed passwords or Google OAuth tokens). We do not store raw passwords.

From payments: Stripe processes all payment data. We receive transaction IDs, subscription status, and billing cycle information — not raw card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and display contractor directory listings
To process subscription payments via Stripe
To send transactional emails (listing confirmation, form submissions)
To respond to contact form inquiries
To improve Platform functionality and search relevance

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise these rights, email us at support@specialisthub.com with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will respond within 45 days.

5. Data Retention

We retain contractor listing data for as long as the listing is active plus 12 months after cancellation. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Contact form submissions are retained for 90 days.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy) and Google for optional OAuth sign-in (see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com). These services have their own privacy practices which we do not control.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication and basic Platform functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is displayed because we do not use non-essential cookies.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) via our hosting provider. No data transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
